Who says spring cleaning has to be dull? Spice up your routine, cut down cleaning time and have fun with these new tricks. You’ll thank us later when you’re reveling in the gleam.

1. Make Space for Clutter:
To maintain order in your cleaning process, identify a specific location or area to place unwanted items and cleaning material that later needs to be placed in the washer or dryer.

2. Time Yourself:
Do not spend too much time on one cleaning activity, spread out your cleaning efforts evenly based on your cleaning list.

3. Put on Your Favorite Tunes:
Play your favorite album or workout playlist to get your cleaning energy going.

4. How to Clean Your Sponge:
Trying to clean with one sponge, is hard. Quickly squeeze out your sponge and disinfect it by placing the sponge in the microwave on high for one minute.

5. An Easy way to Clean Stainless Steel Faucets:
A lemon is such a resourceful food item, it has a multifaceted use. To clean a stainless-steel faucet, cut the lemon in half and rub to eradicate hard water stains and rust from any stainless-steel item.

6. Stem-Clean Your Microwave:
To remove scum from the microwave, fill a microwave-safe bowl 2 cups of water, 2 tablespoons of vinegar, and a couple of drops of your favorite essential oils to steam the sum before you scrub. Stem the microwave for at least 5 minutes.

7. How to Clean Your Stove:
Once you remove the grim off your stove, place a thin layer of wax on the stove and then buff off the wax with a clean towel.

8. Dust with Fabric Softener Sheets:
Just like most cleaning items, fabric softener sheets have several uses. By placing fabric softener sheets on your hands as mittens they can be used for dusting, especially in tight areas.

9. Use a Hair Dryer to Remove Rings:
Cup rings on wooden tables are the worst. Take away cup rings by blasting the dryer on the spot until the stain disappears.

10. How to clean Your Dishwasher:
The dishwasher is not resourceful if dirty. First clean off any visible scum, then place one cup full of vinegar and allow your dishwasher to run on the hottest cycle. After, sprinkle a cupful of baking soda on the bottom of the dishwasher and run the dishwasher again for one full cycle, also in the hottest cycle.

11. The Multiple uses of Your Household Dishwasher:
Once a month toss the following items into your dishwasher:
a. Contact lens case
b. Hairbrush
c. Makeup brush
d. Pet dishes
e. Plastic kids toys
f. Refrigerator shelves
g. Soap dishes
h. Tweezers

12. Don’t Forget About the Garbage Disposal:
Forgetting the garbage disposal is so easy to do, but here is a way to remember and effortlessly clean it. Drop in a cut lemon, some salt, and a few ice cubes to remove residue while creating a refreshing smell.

13. Toss Expired Toiletries:
If your medicine cabinet is starting to overflow add expiration date checking to your cleaning list. Research the shelf life for some of your makeup items and personal care products.

14. Get a Gleaming Showerhead:
This cool trick will have your showerhead sparkling. Place vinegar in a sandwich bag and place showerhead into the sandwich can use a rubber band to tie it down. Leave sandwich bag full of vinegar on the shower head overnight.

With a sparkling home and more time on your hands, Netflix might be the only thing left on the to-do list. Happy Spring Cleaning!
